We are all ready for the start of the main season on Saturday with a good forecast given. Look forward to meeting all or "regulars" and lots of "new to camping" folk too. 15 July 2010Well we got the rain...! The grass is certainly looking greener now - hopefully we'll be back to sunshine in the not too distant future. One recent visitor dropped a folder into Reception with "7 Dawlish Walks" and they are jolly good to. I have uploaded them so you can print them off, and we will have a few copies in Reception. I am going to laminate a set of leaflets for visitors to look at when in the Laundrette. "7 Dawlish Walks" HERE 9 July 2010We could do with some rain... did I really just say that! Overnight would be perfect, just to get some colour back into the grass... Tomorrow is a big day down at the Warren with the Spirit of the Exe "Exe-Travaganza" festival. Loads to see and do and it's all FREE! Come on down. Come by train if you are local and enjoy a pint or two.... Sounds good to me - pity I am working!

£1 - 1 hour £5 - 24 hours £10 - 7 days £20 - 1 month I walked around the site this morning with my laptop and got connected everywhere - how did we manage without the internet.... Really busy again this weekend with 1 and 2 nighters coming from all directions. What is apparent is that our low season special offer - 7 nights for the price of 5, has captured your imagination. It runs until 23rd July so still plenty of time to grab a week of glorious Devon camping /touring at bargain prices! 12 June 2010Hooray we are open! And what a great start - plenty of visitors; regulars and newbies, on our first day and really hot weather - what more could you ask? It was really great to see a couple of our "old" regulars from Bristol now back in touring mode with a motorhome. "Welcome home" T and C! It was a bit frantic this week getting the site ready for one reason or another, anyway Bertie was on hand overseeing the final tidy up - see pic!
As I mentioned last week bookings are coming in nicely and we have vacancies for all weeks - give us a call.
3 June 2010 Just over a week to go and we are all getting excited here - the site looks fantastic, "Best ever" in fact (I say that every year....!) Bertie and Jack have been helping us and to be honest they have struggled with the heat this week - yes glorious sunshine and cloudless skies. Bookings are coming in thick and fast but we still have vacancies for all weeks - get yours in. Give Sarah a ring for latest availability. See you in the summer, and many of you on our "opener", especially the "Bristols"! 30 April 2010The site is coming along nicely and should be in tip-top condition for June 11th!! I have changed our weather forecast provider service today. I was lucky enough to visit the Met Office in Exeter recently - wow, they've got some gear there! Supercomputers or what... They have a great new piece of "real time" forecasting which anyone can access - I have added a link to it from the WEATHER page - have a look at exactly what has been happening in the last few hours and a very accurate forecast. I have also added the MetOffice "app" to my iphone - it really is the most accurate forecast I have ever used!! On the subject of weather let's hope the usual Leadstone forecast of "Hot and Sunny til September" rings true for 2010... 19 March 2010The Spirit of the Exe festival family day on Sat 10 July is taking shape nicely. The Quails band are rounding the afternoon off at the Boathouse. They are an up and coming local band who have supported MUSE in the past. Their webpage is here. 11 March 2010The What's On page has been updated today and will be added to as the season moves on - keep an eye on it. 18 February 2010Teignmouth plays host to, and welcomes the "Lark Nationals" sailing championships in July - looks like great fun "messing about in boats", or I should say sailing dinghies... Whether you are competing or supporting the event we will be pleased to welcome you - NO charge for trailers! Check out their website www.larkclass.org 21 January 2010Happy New Year! The weather has been "interesting" to say the least - snow at Leadstone, and so close to the salty sea air - amazing! Remember the deposit is as little as £20! A couple of dates for your diary... The "Spirit of the Exe Festival" on Saturday 10th July - this looks like being a huge family day out at the Warren.
