Well another year draws to a close and it is time to start thinking about next summer. The thought of a sun soaked South Devon is firmly in my mind....
Sarah and I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you in 2010?

The season was a good one generally. The weather was pretty much an English Summer although the first 4 weeks were excellent! We have spent a lot of time working on the camping fields since we closed so hopefully they should be in fine form for next June.
The Muse concerts were superb and we had plenty of "Musers" stay the weekend. Our trusty old pick-up was a"Mused"!! All good fun - it washed off!

The big news locally is that local band MUSE (from Teignmouth) will be playing 2 gigs on Friday / Saturday 4th/5th September on the Den in Teignmouth. Details here.

Well where has the last 3 weeks gone - been really busy and forgot to update, sorry! We had another day of rain at the start of the month but since then it has been really lovely with warm sun most days. We have seen lots of "new to camping" folk this year - I hope you have enjoyed the experience, I know most kids love the freedom!!
Carnival Week has just started and everyone is looking forward to Thursday and the Airshow. The only flying VULCAN bomber is part of the show this year - quite a coup for the town. The highlight for most will be the Red Arrows - they'll be "hedgehopping" at Leadstone... you know they are low when you can see the white's of the pilots's eyes!
Friday see the Grand Procession around 7pm ish - a great family event to finish off a great week!
Almost full for Bank Holiday - give us a ring and we'll see what we can do.
30 July 2009
Well we got wet yesterday! Well and truly drenched - hopefully that is it for the summer. No one minds a shower or a drop of rain overnight so let's hope that we can all get back to enjoying a great British Summer! Bookings are coming in rapidly still and there are plenty of "casuals" touring about, particularly Dutch and German visitors.
Looking ahead it is Teignmouth Carnival Procession tomorrow evening. The 10th anniversary Firework Spectacular at Dawlish Warren is later this season - on Thursday Aug 27th, just before the Bank Holiday. Why not make it a 4 night break and enjoy what promisses to be a great event with FREE family entertainment from early afternoon. Fireworks at 9.30pm ish.
Tuesday was our first "full house" night of the season - get your booking in quick, especially for Bank Holiday weekend!!
Bertie and Jack are usually on site on Tuesday afternoons until early evening so
keep an eye out for them.
They have enjoyed all the attention our younger (and older) visitors have given them so far this season! Picture shows them on a recent trip to the moors.

Carnival week statrts on Sat 15th and we still have a number of weeks available - with or without electric hook-up.
Don't forget that the Airshow is on Thursday 20th August and the Grand Carnival Precession has moved to Friday 21st (evening). Loads of things on during Carnival Week - check out the website here.

What a great start to the season! The Fezz-tival went off very well with all the free entertainment over last weekend. Look out for it next summer.
We are getting booked up now for the main weeks so don't leave it too late or you'll be disappointed! Come and see us sometime this summer....
12 June 2009
Hooray - we are open! Seems like a long time coming this year but at last we are open and welcomed our first visitors of the season. Great to see our "regulars" and some new faces too.
I have been checking the bookings and we are filling up nicely for the main season, if you have not booked yet - don't leave it too late!
Bertie and Jack were helping all this week on the final tidy up - looks like we have a new gardener...
Bertie in the thick of it...
Come and see us soon.

The weather has been fantastic hasn't it? Fingers crossed for the next 3 months as we are due a really good summer. The site is nearly ready just a case of "crossing the t's and dotting the i's" now. There are donkey rides for the little'uns every Sunday from 11am - 4pm down at the Warren - looks like lots of fun! Bertie and Jack have been struggling with the heat and have been to Dinkum Dogs for a summer cut - I will try and put some pics up. Bert looks like a dalmation - all spotty!!
25 March 2009
The Whats On page has been updated for the summer - probably some more to add as dates become known. Dates worth noting ....
4th/5th July - The Dawlish Warren "Fezz-tival" : 2 days of traditional seaside slapstick entertainment and music, etc with a Tommy Cooper flavour. (He sold ice cream as a lad back in the 1920s/30s here at Dawlish Warren!)
Fireworks!! New date this year: Thursday 27th August, a great way to start your August bank Holiday break!!
7 January 2009
Happy New Year everyone! The bookings are coming in thick and fast for the summer, great to see folk are getting really organised this year with their holidays. Remember the deposit is as little as £20.
